Teach Me To Fish Programme

Dear Parents,

TM2F is a structured 6-year programme where pupils are taught some life skills. The objective of this programme is to equip the pupils with some practical skills for personal effectiveness. Lessons will cover skills like tying shoelaces, administering simple first-aid, cooking, etc. The programme is carried out in a 2-hour lesson for each level during curriculum time.

The P3 TM2F lesson will be conducted on 29 May 2013 (Wednesday) from 8.15am to 10.15am in their respective classrooms. The skills to be taught are:

(1) showering, and washing of hands
(2) cooking of instant noodles
(3) preparing a Ribena drink

In order for the programme to succeed and the pupils to benefit from it, we require parents to help facilitate the lessons. As the pupils in each class will be divided into 5 or 6 groups, we need a minimum of 6 parent volunteers to be in each class on 29 May 2013 during the lesson. Based on past experiences, it is found that the boys get really excited over having their mothers, and fathers helping out in this area. Hence, we welcome and encourage fathers to sign up as helpers as well!

There will be a briefing for all parent volunteers on how the programme is to be conducted:

Date: 29 May 2013
Venue: Family Room
Time: 0715h – 0815h
*Breakfast will be provided.

Kindly sign up with me by next Thursday, 9 May if you are interested in helping out. Drop me an email or a Watsapp message!

Thank you for your attention and participation!
